With
respect to HIPPA compliance, to ensure that there
is no "lag" in coverage, and to protect
the financial interests of the organization, Island
Group Administration, Inc., will certify by means
of inspection of the health insurance certificate
issued to a new employee by any former employer
to make certain that the statutorily 63 day pre-existing
condition lag-time has been complied with. In
the event of any employee termination, Island
Group will provide the necessary certification
directly to the former employee. This serves as
a "second check" on individuals eligibility
for coverage.
